Kingsbidge was the terminus station for the branch.  The line was originally planned to carry on to Salcombe however this plan was abandoned.

Being a terminus station there were various facilities which included:

  • Engine shed
  • Water column
  • Carriage shed
  • Goods shed
  • Cattle pens
  • Signal box
  • Loading crane
  • Stores

Unfortunately the station was demolished in 2009. Upon conducting research on the station demolition an interesting report was found on the station prior to demolition.  Click here for the link to the report which was carried out by the Archaelogical Data Service (University of York).
