Gara Bridge was the second station on the branch and was the only intermediate station on the line with two platforms. The station was a popular destination for camping coach holiday makers and this can be seen from the Railway Roundabout video shown under the "videos" section of the website.
The station had a 3 road iron bridge spanning the River Avon and this bridge is the only iron bridge that remains on the line today.
Due to the complex track layout and road crossing Gara Bridge could not manage with only ground frames, like Avonwick and Loddiswell, so the station had its own signal box. The station also has its own cattle dock.
